Technical Assistance

EAPD has dispatched a large number of experts in the fields of health, infrastructure, agriculture, irrigation and education, to several African and Islamic countries; such as Burkina Faso, Burundi, Chad, Djibouti, Gabon, Ghana, Kazakhstan, Mauritius, Namibia, Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Senegal, South Sudan, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe. Experts are sent to share their expertise, offer capacity-building programmes, or as part of medical convoys.

Capacity Building

EAPD organises capacity-building programmes for officials in different areas.  EAPD also offers financial assistance to Egyptian institutions with ties to African countries; such as the African Society and the Institute of African Research and Studies, and sponsors officials from Africa to participate in relevant international conferences and seminars held in Egypt.

Educational Scholarships and Financial Contributions

EAPD provides scholarships to students from African and Islamic countries in various fields; such as engineering, medicine, police, agriculture, irrigation and water resources. Over 200 students have been awarded a scholarship in different Egyptian universities.

EAPD collaborates with the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education to empower a new generation of African leaders. In this context, students are provided scholarships to study in an Egyptian university or institution.

Humanitarian Assistance

EAPD contributes to the establishment of hospitals, medical and vocational centres in a number of African and Islamic countries. EAPD also provides humanitarian and logistical assistance in cases of natural disasters and civil wars.

EAPD  is building on previous initiatives of its two predecessor funds, about 300 initiatives, that were launched in more than 20 countries, including through the provision of medical assistance (medicine and equipment), technical assistance in infrastructure and logistics, and medical missions to combat diseases and improve health conditions in targeted countries.
