The overall policy of the EAPD is set by a board of directors chaired by the Foreign Minister and includes the Deputy Foreign Minister for African Affairs, as well as a number of Assistant Ministers, who take the decisions necessary to achieve EAPD’s objectives.

The EAPD is administered by a Secretary General who is appointed by the Foreign Minister.

The Agency is based in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cairo, Egypt.
