Judicial Cooperation Program

Through its partnerships with the various judicial authorities of Egypt, including the Constitutional Court, the Administrative Control Authority and the Court of Cassation, the Agency was able to design and implement a judicial cooperation program with African countries.

One of the highlights of the program is the organization of the High Level Meetings of the Chief Justices of the African Constitutional and Supreme Courts, held annually in Cairo since 2017.

The meetings help strengthen cooperation among African Constitutional and Supreme Courts and examine the emerging challenges facing judicial systems across Africa. The 2018 Cairo Meeting gathered the Chief justices and Presidents of Constitutional and Supreme Courts and Senior Members of the Judiciaries from 43 African countries and adopted the “Cairo Declaration on the Ongoing and Emerging Priority Issues Facing the Judiciary in Africa”.
