EAPD organized a training program titled "Local Development and Decentralization" in cooperation with the Ministry of Local Development during the period from November 23 to December 3 2019, in which 26 cadres from 19 African countries participated, the program dealt with topics of decentralization from the Economic and financial dimensions, timeframes, institutional and legal frameworks for decentralization, and the experiences of some European and African countries in implementing of decentralization.

The session also discussed tools for maximizing local resources, measures and foundations for rural development, and a panel discussion was held on African countries' labor policies in the field of local development and planning.
