Egypt delivers food aid to Kenya

Egyptian Ambassador in Nairobi Khaled el Abyad has delivered a food aid shipment presented by the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development to the government and people of Kenya.

Kenya’s Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa took part in the handover ceremony, during which he expressed gratitude to the people and government of Egypt for their prompt action to support the Kenyan State, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement Thursday.
The Kenyan minister highlighted his country’s efforts in light of the various challenges it has recently been facing, including floods and the invasion of desert locusts across several provinces.

Meanwhile, Abyad said the Egyptian State has always been keen to support African countries and that “This aid embodies brotherly and distinguished relations between Egypt and Kenya”.
