Concluding the training for diplomats from French-speaking African countries

The Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development concluded the training course for diplomats from French-speaking African countries which was held in coordination with the Egyptian Institute of Diplomatic Studies during the period from the 16th till the 27th of February 2020 in which 23 diplomats from 12 African countries participated. Training program held for diplomatic cadres from English-speaking African countries

In light of the great importance of diplomacy, EAPD organized a training program held for diplomatic cadres from the English-speaking African countries, in cooperation with the Institute of Diplomatic Studies. The training program also focused on the economic development challenges facing the African continent in the context of the changes taking place in the global economy, the African Union agenda 2063 and the African continental free trade agreement. 23 leading media figures representing 23 African countries participated in “Media and African Cooperation” program which was organized by EAPD during the period from 20-30 January 2020 in Cairo. In January 12, 2020, EAPD organized a workshop on investment opportunities in international trade and transport in African countries in cooperation with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, in which large number of decision-makers in transport and logistics sector, as well as the Port Industries from African countries participated in. EAPD organized a training program titled "Local Development and Decentralization" in cooperation with the Ministry of Local Development during the period from November 23 to December 3 2019, in which 26 cadres from 19 African countries participated, the program dealt with topics of decentralization from the Economic and financial dimensions, timeframes, institutional and legal frameworks for decentralization, and the experiences of some European and African countries in implementing of decentralization. Training program on "Effective use of water to achieve moderate irrigation goals"

In cooperation with the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), EAPD organized a training program on "Effective use of water to achieve moderate irrigation goals", for 19 trainees from 8 African countries, five of which are Nile Basin countries. The program was held at the Regional Center for Training and Water Studies, during the period from December 1st 2019 to the 9th of January2020, and aimed to improve the efficiency of water resources management in African countries by providing training to African irrigation and agricultural engineers in effective water use management in the irrigation process.
